Our next stop was with friends we know from a homeschool co-op we do who had moved to Virginia a few years back. They have chickens and cows (actually a cow and her baby bull and heifer), so the kids and I had a blast with the animals. We even got to try milking the cow! They have such gorgeous flowers and trees on their property and the kids enjoyed playing in the creek. Creed and his buddy discovered a crawdad and a newt!
Most of all it was just a joy to see my dear friends again. We have missed having them as a regular part of our lives since they left. Unfortunately we forgot to take a picture together–arg! We were too busy catching up, and our kids were all busy playing!
