Welcome to Ambulare cum Deo! We are a homeschooling family embarking on the adventure of a lifetime as we take our schooling on the road!  We are pursuing a classical education with our children, so thought it would be appropriate to name our school in Latin. “Ambulare cum Deo” translates to “Walk with God.” There are several references in the Bible to God’s people walking with Him.  Here are a few of examples:

Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

Genesis 5:24

Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God.

Genesis 6:9

Though all the peoples walk each in the name of his god, as for  us, we will walk in the name of the Lord our God forever and ever.

Micah 4:5

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Micah 6:8

Don’t let those words fool you into thinking we are a perfect family; we aren’t!  But walking with God is our goal, so it was an apt name for our homeschool.
