April 27-30: Essex/Boston/Concord, MA-Part 1: The Beach

We did another “Boondockers Welcome” in the Boston area. This time we were parked at a service station. A service station?! That’s right! And it was fantastic! The area was absolutely beautiful, with beaches close by, wonderful New England architecture, a cool cemetery within walking distance, along with Boston and Concord within easy driving distance. And the cherry on top was that “E,” our host, was able to take care of some of our car/camper needs while we were there! He replaced the tire that had a nail in the side wall, ordered and replaced a coolant reservoir cap, and changed our oil (We changed it shortly before we left in April, but, y’all, we have traveled many, many miles!!!)

So far, if I had to pick a “favorite destination,” I might pick this area (Although it is REALLY difficult to decide!). It was just so varied, and it hit several bucket list items.

Beaches: I love the beach, and I love searching for shells. There was a great rocky beach less than 10 minutes from the service station…We went there with Richard on our first evening in Massachusetts, then the kids and I returned the next day…

Lunch on the beach
Beautiful Evie!
